Welcome to iBlaze Version 2.9

The release of iBlaze 2.9 has arrived. The recent version offers plenty of new options and enhancments. Call us to get your copy and to see what is in store for you when you upgrade.

CT Summation iBlaze 2.9 debuts transcript color highlighting, further enhancing its already robust transcript management capabilities. iBlaze 2.9's colour highlighting tool allows users to:

• Electronically colour-code transcript text as it's reviewed;
• Assign colour highlights to designate an issue, category or a specific reviewer's notes.
• Organise issues and key passages by filtering highlighted text by color to speed-up deposition analysis and summary after review.

CT Summation's commitment to listening to the customer has resulted in enhanced usability of the transcript manager as well as overhauling the iBlaze user interface with intuitive menus and toolbars to simplify the entire user experience.

iBlaze Version 2.9 is almost here!

CT Summation have iBlaze Version 2.9 almost ready for release. Make sure you are in maintenance to receive your free upgrade. It includes a number of feature additions and improvements and an upgraded image retrieval process which will launch and display images faster. An audit trail feature is also a key tool to be added, keeping track of database changes and modifications.

Why Electronic Discovery ??

For busy practitioners, developments in the Commercial Court and the increased number of discovery documents, both paper and electronic require a more technical approach to discovery and case organisation.

Statutory Instrument No. 2 of 2004, Order 63A refers to the Commercial Proceedings. It is clear from this Order that more systematic and manageable methods have been established. Rules 14 and 15 refer to the case management conference.

Rule 15.10 states “the case booklet shall contain …(b) pre-trial documentation in chronological sequence…”

Rule 15.11 states “The case booklet shall be produced and maintained by the party responsible for preparing the same in such form, including electronic form as the Judge of the Commercial List may direct and…shall be lodged or served by electronic means…”.

The advantages to having your case material in a database are countless: 

1. Review your documents categorising them according to the case issues.
2. Mark privileged documents creating a list of such.
3. Chronological lists of documents can be produced, sorted and printed or exported in seconds.
4. Export documents to an electronic briefcase viewable through Internet Explorer.
5. Search Transcripts, reference exhibits or pleadings in a more efficient cost effective manner.

iBlaze Version 2.8.2 is expected before the end of 2007. this version will be fully compatible with the new Microsoft Windows Vista operating system. Search capabilites will be increased and faster with the new improved DT 7.x search engine.
